Creating a Morning Routine

If you are reading this, I imagine you are ready to improve your life and business through productivity. I believe the perfect place to start is having a solid, consistent morning routine. How do I know? Because I am living proof. I start each day with my morning routine and it makes a huge impact on my mindest and productivity for the day.

When you have a morning routine, you are taking control of your day instead of your day controlling you.

So, what makes a good morning routine?

A good morning routine is one that works for you. If it does not work for you, it will be difficult to stick with it. A good morning routine is also one that is easy to follow. You want to have all the things you need readily available each morning. For example, at night I lay out my workout clothes for the morning. The more you can have prepped for your morning, the better.

What are some things to include?

- Get up the same time every day

- Include at least one thing that makes you happy (i.e. tea/coffee, exercise, music)

- Incorporate something that improves your mindset (i.e, prayer, affirmations, journaling)

What happens if I miss a day?

Try again the next day. If you miss a day or two, don't quit. Hit the reset button and try again. This is too important to quit.

What if i need help with consistency?

Accountability is key. Use a habit tracker to track each day that you do your morning routine. Find a partner to keep you accountable. If you need a habit tracker, I have uploaded one inside of my Facebook Community: Christian Women Confidently Pursuing More

How do I create a morning schedule?

1) Decide what time you need to leave for work or be ready for the day

2) Write down what you want to include in your morning routine and how long you will spend on each component

3) Based on how much time you need for all your components, determine what time you will need to wake up.

4) Make adjustments to wake-up time/components until the schedule reflects one that you can commit to trying.

5) Try the new routine and tweak until you find the routine that work best for you.

I hope this helps you start or re-start your morning routine. Let me know in the comments if you have a morning routine.
