P.R.A.Y. First (Ask)

Prayer is a powerful way to connect with God and receive His blessings. But how do we know what to ask for? And how do we make sure our prayers are answered?

In this blog post, we'll explore the importance of asking God in prayer, and how to do it effectively.

The Importance of Asking

The Bible teaches us that it's okay to ask God for what we desire. In fact, He wants us to! Jesus said, "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you" (Matthew 7:7).

When we ask God in prayer, we're showing Him that we trust Him and believe that He can answer our requests. We're also demonstrating our dependence on Him, and acknowledging that He is the source of all good things.

How to Ask Effectively

There are a few things to keep in mind when asking God in prayer:

• Ask according to His will. God wants to answer our prayers, but He won't do anything that's not in His will. So it's important to ask for things that are in line with His Word and His character.
• Ask with faith. When we ask God in faith, we're believing that He will answer our prayers. This doesn't mean we have to have perfect faith, but we do need to have a basic trust in God's goodness and faithfulness.
• Ask with thanksgiving. When we thank God for His blessings, we're showing Him that we're grateful for what He's already done. This helps to create a positive atmosphere in our prayers, and it also helps to remind us of God's goodness.

Asking God in prayer is a powerful way to connect with Him and receive His blessings. When we ask according to His will, with faith and thanksgiving, we can be confident that He will answer our prayers.
