Partnering with God: A Journey of Making a Difference

May 02, 2023

Every day, we are presented with countless opportunities to make a difference in the lives of those around us. A very important part of this journey is to recognize the importance of partnering with God, the ultimate source of wisdom, strength, and guidance.

One of the most powerful verses that highlights the importance of this partnership is Philippians 4:13.

Philippians 4:13 (ESV) - "I can do all things through him who strengthens me."

Sometimes I wonder how many people quote this without really having a revelation of this verse. Let's ask God to increase our revelation. The truth is, by aligning our intentions and actions with God's will, we are empowered to make a supernatural impact in the lives of others.

Another verse that illustrates this supernatural partnership is Matthew 5:16: "In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." As we live out our faith and love for God, we inspire others to follow suit, creating a ripple effect of kindness and grace.

Now let me speak to the people who don't feel qualified to partner with God and FULLY step out into their assignment because that's what it boils down to. Your partnership with God and journey of making a difference in the lives of others is directly connected to your assignment!

If you do not feel qualified to partner with God, remember 2 Corinthians 12:9: "But he said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.'" Embrace your vulnerability and take these action steps based on scripture:

  1. Pray for guidance and wisdom: James 1:5 (TPT) - "And if anyone longs to be wise, ask God for wisdom and he will give it! He won’t see your lack of wisdom as an opportunity to scold you over your failures but he will overwhelm your failures with his generous grace."
  2. Reflect on your unique gifts and talents: 1 Peter 4:10 (NLT) - "God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another."
  3. Actively serve others in your community: Galatians 5:13 (NLT) - "For you have been called to live in freedom, my brothers and sisters. But don’t use your freedom to satisfy your sinful nature. Instead, use your freedom to serve one another in love."

Today, this is what I want you to do. Make the decision to see yourself in a new light, recognizing that you ARE an instrument of God's love and grace. Actively seek opportunities to partner with Him in your daily life. I believe by applying this in your life, your actions will bring about transformation and healing in the lives of others.
