Planning For Prosperity

plan prosperity Aug 02, 2022

Whew! I'm so excited about what God is doing for His people. He is shifting us. He is elevating us. He is advancing us to a NEW level of prosperity. If you believe that, I want you to plan for it! I want you to make a decision today that you are making room for what God has for you. Make a decision to PLAN for prosperity. What is prosperity? It's to excel to the point you desire.

So, how do you plan for prosperity?

1) Define what prosperity looks like for you

If we don't define prosperity in our lives, we won't know the right steps to take toward it. What may be even worse?... experiencing it and not even recognizing it. Now, when you define prosperity make sure you partner with God. His plan of prosperity for you is bigger than what you can think of on your own. God has GREAT plans for you.

Jeremiah 29:11 (AMP) - "For I know the plans and thoughts that I have for you,’ says the Lord, ‘plans for peace and well-being and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope."

2) Be open to the new

When we believe for God to do the new things in our life and business, we need to be open for Him to do the new IN us. When God elevates us to another level of prosperity, we want to make sure that we have the character to sustain it. My prayer is that the Lord makes my heart new. As He is doing the new for me, I also embrace Him doing the new in me.

Isaiah 43:18-19 (NLT) - "“But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland."

3) Pre-decide you won't quit

When we are going after the things that God has for us, we will face challenges. Before the challenges come, pre-decide that you won't quit. A bump in the road doesn't mean you quit. It also doesn't mean you have to start over. We don't go 2 steps forward and three steps back. We go 2 steps forward and if we get knocked down, we get back up and take 2 more steps forward. We keep going. We do not quit. You may be in the middle of a challenge right now, but you must believe that all of heaven is backing you. If you don't quit, you WILL reap a harvest!

Galatians 6:9 (NLT) - "So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up."

4) Trust in God's timing

God knows best. There is no other way to say it. When we make plans with Him, we surrender our timeline to Him as well. God's promises are yes and amen. Even if it looks like what He said is being delayed, it's not. At the end of the day, we can't be moved by what we see. We just need to trust God.

Habakkuk 2:3 (NLT) - "This vision is for a future time. It describes the end, and it will be fulfilled. If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed."

5) Know where your help comes from.

I'm so thankful that we have divine help. As we are expecting God's best in our lives, it is important that we do not limit what we think is possible based on our own resources, wisdom, finances, etc. The beauty of walking out God's assignment for our lives is that we have divine help. Take action with confidence today. You have divine help.

Psalm 121:1-2 (NLT) - "I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there? My help comes from the Lordwho made heaven and earth!"

6) Believe that what God started, He will finish

The same God who gave you the idea and dream is the same God who will see you through until the end. God is a finisher. What He started; He will complete. We need to just keep our eyes on Jesus, who is the author and FINISHER of our faith. That is something to get excited about.

Philippians 1:6 (NLT) - "And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns."
