Show Up For Your Assignment

confidence show up visibility Jun 28, 2022

Have you ever thought about how God hand-picked you for an assignment that needs to be carried out in this moment in time? God, who doesn't operate inside of time, is very aware of the time He created and has strategically placed us inside of it. There is a problem in the earth right now that you are called to solve. Yet, we don't always show up for the assignment.

As a business owner, I am learning that my assignment requires me to show up every day. Even when it's cold and rainy outside, I still need to show up. Even when no one engaged with my social media post, I still need to show up. Even when no one replies to my email, I still need to show up. Even if no one purchased my offer, I still need to show up. Even if I don't understand exactly what God is asking me to do, I still need to show up.

You see, it's time for us to push past our feelings. It's time for us to push through the opinions of others. It's time for us to push beyond having good intentions. It's time for us to actually produce the thing that God has assigned us to produce. At the end of the day, we are responsible for what we produce. Let me say if another way: We are to live fruitful lives.

John 15 is one of my favorite chapters in the entire bible. In verse 8, we read how our fruitfulness is a demonstration of us being Jesus' disciples.

John 15:8 (NASB) - "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples."

It's time for you to PRODUCE! When we are productive, we please the Lord. We live in a way that honors Him.

Colossians 1:10 (NLT) - "Then the way you live will always honor and please the Lord, and your lives will produce every kind of good fruit. All the while, you will grow as you learn to know God better and better."

So, what can this look like practically in your life?

1) Personal Relationship - You start by staying connected to the Father. You need to hear clear instructions from Him.

2) Protect Your Time - Establish boundaries around how you use your time so you can be intentional about taking action.

3) Proceed in Faith - Obey what He tells you to do, even if it doesn't make sense

I want to leave you with one final thought. God is a God who is trustworthy. When He picked up for your unique assignment, He made sure He created you to be the perfect fit. Trust that He has destined you for success. So put those fears, doubts, and distractions to the side and move forward. It's time to SHOW UP FOR YOUR ASSIGNMENT.
