Show Up For Your Life

Apr 19, 2020

I read Psalm 133:1 (NLT) and it talks about how wonderful it is to live in harmony. That word 'harmony' jumped off the page. I really love music. I thought about how in a song, people can sing different parts of harmony and it makes a beautiful sound. The people are unified, singing the same song; but they each have a different part. When they come together, the result is something beautiful.

This rings true for the body of Christ. We are all unified in our mission to serve Jesus and share Jesus. Each person has a unique role and different part to play.

A song can be sung without all the parts; but with them, the sound is beautiful. The kingdom of God will move forward without all the parts; but with them the result is beautiful. Help make the world beautiful and SHOW UP FOR YOUR LIFE. I want to encourage you today to embrace who you are because we need you.

Here are three ways you can SHOW UP:

1) Resist Fear

Joshua 1:9 (NLT) - "This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”

There is no reason for us to fear because God is with us. We are also commanded not to be discouraged. I'm thinking about the times things do not go as planned. Resist being discouraged. Use it as an opportunity to grow and learn. Resisting fear and discouragement requires strength and courage. Thankfully God helps us!

2) Be Consistent

1 Corinthians 15:58 (NLT) - "So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless."

As we are showing up for the life God has called us to, consistency is key. We should stand firm in our calling and not allow our emotions or the opinion of others to move us. We live each day in joy beacause we know that God wastes nothing. EVERY SINGLE thing we do can be used. Let me encourage you to consistently show up for your Life.

3) Be Intentional

Ephsians 5:15-17 (NLT) - "So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do."

We must be intentional with our time. We should consider how we are spending each day to make sure it is lined up with the assignment God has for us. It is wise to make the most of every opportunity. We have to stay in constant communication with the Lord so He can show us what He wants us to do.

It is my prayer today that you see how important you are. The song can be sung, but without you it won't sound the same. Make the quality decision today to embrace who you are and step into your calling.
