Take Confident Action

When it comes to being productive, we must commit to taking confident action. We cannot live in a state of only having good intentions. We must move from good intention to taking confident action. So, what keeps people from taking confident action? I want to unpack three things that I believe answer that question.

Number one, people subscribe to the narrative of comparison. No matter what industry someone is in, there is the temptation to compare yourself with someone who is doing something similar to you. It's so true, ya'll. We believe the lie that there is only one seat at the table and it's a race or competition to see who can take the seat. The truth is God has created each of us our very own seat. We just need to take ownership of it and pull up to the table, which has plenty of room by the way :)

When the enemy throws ideas of comparison at me, I respond with Galatians 6:4-5 (MSG) - "Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others. Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life."

We were each uniquely designed by God and given our own work to fulfill here on the earth. It is time for us to take responsibility for it by taking confident action.

Secondly, I would say that the feeling of inadequacy keeps us from taking confident action. The best part of walking out your God-given assignment is that you do not have to do any of it on your own. It is you and God partnering together, and He is more than enough. He has more than enough wisdom, resources, connections, etc.

Psalm 46:1 (NLT) - "God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble."

I love how the God who loves us is always ready to help in any circumstance.

Last, I believe that people do not take confident action because they are plagued with perfectionism. Remember that God is not asking for us to be perfect. He is only looking for progress. Keep taking action even if you fail. Failure is just an opportunity to grow and get better. Embrace those learning opportunities.

1 Timothy 4:15 (NIV) - "Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress."

Now, what are your next steps? I encourage you to choose ONE thing you can do today to take confident action. Do not let the enemy keep you from experiencing God's best for your life and business. You were made for MORE!
