THE ABCs OF COMMUNITY: PART 3 - CONSISTENCY

Building a community is important for our spiritual growth and well-being. But it can be difficult to be consistent, especially when we're busy and have a lot on our plates.

In this blog post, we'll discuss some practical tips on how to be more consistent in building a community. We'll also talk about the importance of forgiveness and grace, and how they can help us overcome obstacles to building strong relationships.

Why is consistency important?

Consistency is important because it helps to build trust and intimacy. When we're consistent in our relationships, we show the other person that we value them and that we're committed to the friendship.

Consistency also helps us to learn more about each other and to grow closer. When we spend time together regularly, we have the opportunity to share our lives with each other and to support each other through thick and thin.

How to be more consistent

Here are a few tips on how to be more consistent in building a community:

  • Take the initiative. Don't wait for the other person to reach out to you. Make an effort to connect with your friends regularly, even if it's just a quick text message or phone call.
  • Be intentional. Schedule time for your friendships, just like you would any other important appointment. This will help you to make sure that you're not neglecting your relationships.
  • Be forgiving. Everyone makes mistakes. When your friends hurt you, try to forgive them quickly and move on. Don't let bitterness or resentment build up in your heart.
  • Be gracious. We're all imperfect people. Be patient and understanding with your friends, even when they fall short of your expectations.

The importance of forgiveness and grace

Forgiveness and grace are essential for building strong relationships. When we forgive others, we release them from the burden of our anger and resentment. This allows us to move forward and to rebuild the relationship.

Grace is the undeserved favor that God shows us. When we extend grace to others, we're showing them the same love and compassion that God has shown us.

Building a community takes time and effort. But it's worth it! When we have strong relationships with other believers, we're encouraged in our faith and we're able to grow together spiritually.

If you're struggling to be consistent in building a community, don't give up. Just keep trying and don't be afraid to ask for help from others. God desires for us to have strong relationships with other believers, and He will help us to build them if we ask.
