The Do's and Don'ts of Kingdom Partnerships

When it comes to building Kingdom partnerships, the path can be as complex as it is rewarding. Yet, as Kingdom builders, we are called to navigate this journey with both wisdom and grace. Here are some essential do's and don'ts to help you foster partnerships that are both fruitful and fulfilling.

Do: Seek God’s Guidance

Before embarking on any partnership, always seek God’s guidance. As Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” Always invite God into your partnership and allow His wisdom to guide you.

Don't: Ignore Red Flags

While it's crucial to give people the benefit of the doubt, don't ignore red flags. The Bible warns us in Proverbs 22:3, “The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.” Trust that you hear God's voice and seek His guidance when you sense something is 'off.'

Do: Cultivate Trust and Open Communication

Trust and open communication is the foundation of any healthy partnership. As Paul urged in Ephesians 4:25, “Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.” Strive to foster an environment where everyone can express their thoughts and concerns freely and honestly.

Don't: Neglect Your Own Vision

While partnerships require compromise and collaboration, don't lose sight of your own vision and purpose. It's essential to maintain a strong sense of who you are and what you bring to the partnership. Remember, God has given you unique gifts and a unique calling.

As you are on a your journey of establishing healthy, effective Kingdom partnerships, here are some next steps you can take:

  1. Pray: Start each day with prayer, asking God to guide your steps and bless your partnerships.
  2. Seek Wise Counsel: Don't go it alone – seek the advice of trusted advisors and mentors.
  3. Establish Clear Goals: Clearly define what you hope to achieve from the partnership.
  4. Communicate Regularly: Maintain open lines of communication – regularly check in with your partner to ensure you remain aligned.
  5. Celebrate Successes: Recognize and celebrate successes – this helps to strengthen the partnership and foster a positive atmosphere.

Remember, building Kingdom partnerships is a journey, not a destination. It requires patience, commitment, and above all, a reliance on God. As we read in Ecclesiastes 4:9-10, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.” Let's strive to build partnerships that uplift, inspire, and bring glory to God.
