What's holding you back?

Jun 09, 2022

On the inside of each of us is something we were created to produce. It's something the world needs. It's something that God has trusted you with. Maybe it's a business. Maybe it's a book. Maybe it's showing up on social media. Maybe it's a community. Whatever it is, I am more convinced than ever before that what each of us was created to produce is attached to media. Yes, media. Media is a vehicle that we use to communicate. Everything we do and participate in, communicates something. The problem is that sometimes we let things hold us back from producing the very thing that is designed to propel us into our destinies. What's holding you back? What’s keeping you from taking that next step?

Maybe it's your past. The enemy would love for you to focus on what should have, could have, would have, etc. Make the switch today to focus on the Kingdom assignment God has in front of you.

Philippians 3:13 (NLT) - "No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,"

Luke 9:61-62 (NLT) - "Another said, “Yes, Lord, I will follow you, but first let me say good-bye to my family.” But Jesus told him, “Anyone who puts a hand to the plow and then looks back is not fit for the Kingdom of God.”

Maybe it's your present. No matter what is going on in your current situation, the Lord is with you. That should give you the confidence to move forward. As you keep your focus on the Lord, He will guide you every step of the way.

Psalm 139:1-4 (NLT) - “O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord."

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT) - "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take."

Maybe it's your future. What God has promised in His Word is what we can count on. There is no need to worry about something that hasn't happened. Focus on the truth that God is trustworthy, and He will respond when we pray His Word.

Matthew 6:34 (NLT) - "“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today."

I John 5:14-15 (NLT) - "And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him. And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for."

Let me say this. Whatever it is, make the quality decision today that you will not be held back any longer. There are people assigned to your voice. There are people assigned to your vision. There are people praying for the solutions that are on the inside of you.

What has God called you to produce? What's your next step? It's GO time!
