You Are Worth It

I wish I had a picture of myself to post with this blog. A picture of me in the gym still looking cute. But I don't think cute and gym could ever co-exist in my life. Being in the gym for me is my hair wrapped up and sweat running down my face and I'm OK with that. I'm OK with that because me in the gym is not about impressing other people, it's about me fighting for personal goals I have for myself.

What about you? What personal goals do you have? It doesn't have to be fitness goals. It could be ANYTHING! Yes, anything! No one gets to tell you what you can and can't go after for your own life. You decide that and whatever you decide, I want to encourage you to FIGHT for it.

What does it mean to fight for a goal or dream you have in your life? It means that you are intentional about keeping a positive mindset about it and you set aside and protect time to work on it. SO many things fight for our time and attention. If we are not intentional, our dreams and goals get buried under the hats we wear and the roles we fulfill in other people's lives.

Over the last several weeks, I have had many conversations with women who have a dream or a goal, but they haven't been intentional about going after it. They love talking about their dream and it sounds good. They have all these ideas about how to better themselves, create something new, improve relationships, serve people in their community... you get the point. Yet, they only work on it with the time and energy they have left AFTER they have served everyone's idea of what their time and energy should be given to.

If you can relate to this, let me encourage you that YOU ARE WORTH IT! You are worth the getting up early. You are worth saying no to things. You are worth making adjustments to your schedule. You are worth getting outside of your comfort zone. You are worth bulldozing through the fear. YOU ARE WORTH IT!

What is a good next step? Go listen to my podcast episode "Fighting For Your Dream". In this episode, I expose three lies the enemy tries to get us to believe. 1) You're not good enough 2) You don't have the resources 3) Your dream is too big. I unpack fear, making your life count, and dreaming for your future. Plus, you'll here practical steps you can take as you fight for your dreams.

Now, go LIVE, LOVE, and LEAD well!
