3 Signs You’re Hiding from Your God-Given Assignment 👀

“Ah, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.” — Jeremiah 1:6-7 (NIV)

It's time to stop shrinking back and start stepping out.

Have you ever felt the nudge from God to do something big—but you brushed it off, played small, or convinced yourself it was “just a thought”?

If so, you’re not alone.

Many women hear the call but hide behind fear, doubt, and distraction. And while it might look like procrastination or indecision on the surface, deep down it’s resistance to the very thing God has placed inside of you.

Let’s talk about the subtle ways we hide from our Kingdom assignments—and how to come out of hiding and walk boldly in your purpose.

👀 1. You Keep Saying “I’m Not Ready”

This is one of the most common ways women disqualify themselves from stepping out.

You feel like you need more experience, more clarity, more confirmation, more credentials…

But the truth is—God doesn’t wait for your confidence. He’s just looking for your yes.

📖 Jeremiah 1:6-7 (NIV) says:

“Ah, Sovereign Lord,” I said, “I do not know how to speak; I am too young.” But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you.”

If God called you, He already accounted for your weakness.

You’re not ready because you feel prepared—you’re ready because He’s with you.

👀 2. You’re Hiding Behind Busyness

Sometimes, hiding doesn’t look like hiding.

It looks like staying “busy”—doing good things, helping others, learning more, serving… but avoiding the one assignment God actually asked you to do.

You’re producing a lot, but not progressing in the direction of your calling.

📖 Luke 10:41-42 (NIV)

“Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, “you are worried and upset about many things, but few things are needed—or indeed only one.”

Busyness can become a distraction that numbs us from the fear of stepping into the unknown.

But God doesn’t want your performance—He wants your obedience.

👀 3. You’re Waiting for the Perfect Conditions

“If I had more time…”

“If my kids were older…”

“If I made more money…”

“If I wasn’t so afraid…”

Sound familiar?

Delaying obedience for the “perfect time” is often a disguise for fear. But if we’re waiting for comfort to align with calling, we’ll stay stuck forever.

📖 Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT) says:

“Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant. If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.”

Faith doesn’t wait for everything to make sense.

It moves forward even when things are messy.

Dear God, thank you for the calling you’ve placed on my life. Forgive me for the times I’ve hidden behind fear, busyness, or excuses. I don’t want to shrink back when you’ve called me to rise. Help me to trust you more than I trust my fears. Give me the courage to take the next step—even when it’s scary. Remind me that my strength comes from you, not from myself. Today, I say yes. To the calling. To the process. To you. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Hey Beauty, the world doesn’t need a perfect version of you. It needs your obedient yes.

Your voice, your vision, your gifts—God placed them in you for a reason.

And He’s not waiting for perfection.

He’s waiting for participation.

So stop hiding.

You’ve got a Kingdom assignment to fulfill.

It’s time to come out and walk boldly into what God has called you to do.

And remember—you don’t have to do it alone. 💛
