“and after the earthquake a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire; and after the fire a still small voice. — 1 Kings 19:12 (NKJV)

Have you ever felt like the world around you was so loud that it became almost impossible to hear God clearly? Between social media, endless notifications, news cycles, and even the good things we are involved in, the noise can drown out the gentle whisper of the Holy Spirit.
But Beauty, here’s the good news: God’s voice hasn’t changed. He’s still speaking. He’s still near. We just need to quiet our hearts enough to hear Him. You and I were never meant to live overwhelmed by the world’s volume. We were created to live accustomed to Heaven’s voice.
How Do We Hear the Still Small Voice of God?
The world shouts.
God whispers.
The world demands attention.
God invites intimacy.
When Elijah was hiding in the cave, God didn’t come in the loud wind, the earthquake, or the fire. He came in the still, small voice. (1 Kings 19:11-12)
I want you to read and journal these scriptures:
• “Be still, and know that I am God.” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
• “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” — John 10:27 (NIV)
• “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” — Exodus 14:14 (NIV)
Hearing God isn’t about doing more. It’s about slowing down to be more with Him.
Rhythm Shifts: Tuning Your Heart to God’s Whisper
Here are three practical rhythm shifts to help you hear His voice even when the world feels noisy:
1. Create Daily Quiet Spaces
“Very early in the morning… Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.” — Mark 1:35 (NIV)
Practical Shift:
Set aside intentional, phone-free time every day—even if it’s just 10–15 minutes. Find a quiet spot, journal, pray, or simply sit with Him. Make silence your sacred space.
2. Protect Your Mind with Boundaries
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)
Practical Shift: Monitor what you’re consuming. Limit unnecessary noise—whether it’s social media, endless scrolling, or toxic conversations. Choose to make room for what feeds your spirit, not just what fills your mind.
3. Practice Pausing Before Responding
“Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.” — James 1:19 (NIV)
Practical Shift: In conversations, decisions, and even daily tasks, build the habit of pausing to ask, “Holy Spirit, what are You saying about this?” That simple pause creates space for God’s whisper to lead you.
Dear God, thank you that your voice is steady, kind, and always present. Teach me to quiet the noise of the world so that I can hear you more clearly. Help me to protect the stillness of my heart, to create room for your whispers of truth and love. I don’t want to miss what you are saying. Open my ears, Lord, and align my heart to your voice. In Jesus' name, AMEN.
Beauty, God’s voice is never out of reach. It’s not hidden. It’s not reserved for the few. You were created to hear Him. And the quieter you become, the louder His love will sound in your heart.
This week, slow down. Tune in. You don’t have to chase clarity. You just have to meet Him in the quiet. He’s already speaking—whispering truth, hope, and guidance just for you. Let’s build lives that stay accustomed to the still, small voice above the noise. 💛
Let’s go live, love, and lead well—together. 🥳💛
