What Happens in the Middle?

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful." Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)

There’s something sacred about the middle.

It’s where the promise has been spoken, but the fulfillment hasn’t arrived.

It’s where the vision is clear, but the outcome is still forming.

It’s in the middle that doubts whisper, emotions fluctuate, and the temptation to quit feels the strongest. But Beauty—it’s also in the middle that we most clearly experience the faithfulness of the Father.

The middle is not a place of abandonment.

It’s a place of invitation—an invitation to trust, to wait, and to anchor yourself in His love.

What Happens in the Middle?

In the middle, we’re being strengthened.

In the middle, our roots grow deep.

In the middle, God is not silent—He is present.

Read & Journal:

  • “The Lord is faithful to all his promises and loving toward all he has made.” — Psalm 145:13 (NIV)

  • “He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion.” — Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

  • “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me.” — Psalm 23:4 (NLT)

The middle isn’t a detour or delay.

It’s part of the design.

Rhythm Shifts: How to Stay Grounded in the Middle

Here are three rhythm shifts to help you trust God deeply when you’re in between the beginning and the breakthrough:

1. Declare His Faithfulness Daily

“Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed… great is your faithfulness.” — Lamentations 3:22–23 (NIV)

Practical Shift:

Start your day with declarations of God’s past faithfulness. Write them in your journal. Speak them aloud. Remind your heart: If He did it before, He’ll do it again.

2. Journal the Journey, Not Just the Breakthrough

“Then the Lord replied: ‘Write down the revelation and make it plain… though it linger, wait for it.’” — Habakkuk 2:2–3 (NIV)

Practical Shift:

Don’t wait for the finish line to document what God is doing. Journal what you’re learning, how you’re growing, and where you’re seeing God’s hand in real time.

3. Worship While You Wait

Verse: “Those who wait on the Lord will renew their strength…” — Isaiah 40:31 (NKJV)

Practical Shift:

Turn your middle into a sanctuary. Worship when you don’t have answers. Praise before you see the promise. Waiting doesn’t have to be passive—it can be powerful.

Dear God, Thank you that you are faithful in every chapter—especially in the middle. Help me not to rush ahead or grow weary in the waiting. Let me see you more clearly in this space, and feel your love surround me in new ways. Strengthen my trust. Anchor my hope. And remind me that you are working even when I don’t see it. In Jesus' name, AMEN.

Beauty, I know the middle can feel long and uncertain. But this is the space where your faith grows legs and your roots go deep.

You’re not alone here. You’re not forgotten here.

This week, let this be the chapter where you fall more in love with the Faithful One, not just the fulfilled promise.

You’re not just surviving the middle—you’re being strengthened in it. 💛

Keep walking.

He’s got you.

And He will finish what He started.💛
