From Insecurity to Boldness – Trusting God’s Call on Your Life

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

ree

When God calls you, insecurity often answers first.

“Who am I to do this?”

“Am I ready?”

“What if I mess it up?”

I’ve been there. Called—but unsure. Willing—but nervous.

But here’s what I’ve learned:

God doesn’t call the confident—He calls the surrendered.

And when we trust His voice more than our insecurities, boldness rises.

You won’t always feel ready when God calls. And that’s okay. He’s not asking for perfection—He’s asking for obedience.

Insecurity says: “I’m not enough.”

God says: “I am more than enough in you.”

Insecurity says: “What if I fail?”

God says: “My strength is made perfect in your weakness.”

Read & Journal:

  • “But Moses said to God, ‘Who am I that I should go…?’” — Exodus 3:11 (NIV)

  • “I can do all this through him who gives me strength.” — Philippians 4:13 (NIV)

  • “The righteous are as bold as a lion.” — Proverbs 28:1 (NIV)

🔄 Rhythm Shifts: Moving from Fear to Faith

Here are three mindset shifts that helped me go from insecure to bold—and that will help you do the same:

1. Say Yes, Even If You’re Scared

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” — Proverbs 3:5 (NIV)

Practical Shift:

God honors obedience more than confidence. Don’t wait until you feel bold to move. Say yes now—and let boldness catch up later.

2. Remind Yourself Who Sent You

“Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.” — Exodus 4:12 (NIV)

Practical Shift:

When insecurity creeps in, shift your focus. This isn’t about your ability—it’s about His authority. You’re not doing this alone. You’re sent.

3. Speak Boldness Over Yourself Daily

“Let the redeemed of the Lord tell their story…” — Psalm 107:2 (NIV)

Practical Shift:

Create a list of declarations:

• “I am called.”

• “I am equipped.”

• “God is with me.”

Speak them out loud each morning. Watch your courage grow as your words align with truth.

Pray This Prayer:

Dear God, thank you for calling me—even when I feel unqualified. Help me trust your voice more than my doubts. Give me boldness to step into what you’ve assigned to me. Replace insecurity with holy confidence, and remind me daily that you go before me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Remember:

You don’t have to be the boldest woman in the room. Just be the one who trusts God the most.

Say this out loud today:

“I will not let insecurity keep me from my calling. I am bold in Christ.”

You were created for such a time as this. Step forward—not because you have it all together, but because the God who called you does.

Let’s go live, love, and lead well—together. 🥳💛
